Role: Senior .NET Programmer Analyst
Role Description: The Senior .NET Programmer Analyst would need to have at least 7 years of experience. This Senior .NET Programmer Analyst support the National BETS application, translating business requirements into new development or modifications of the existing logic, leading development teams on several key national deployments and regional project initiatives, developing screens and business functionality in client applications using VB6, C#, or ASP.Net, and creating technical documentation of existing application design and functionality. This position requires the successful completion of a programming skills test. CACHE experience is a MUST for this requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Act as first point of escalation for technical decisions and problems, and lead technical analyses for efficient program/ application solutions which support client business.
- Oversee all coding work and quality reviews.
- Independently perform and guide, assist or mentor others in software coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and installation tasks for on-line and batch processes in accordance with industry best practices and specific internal procedures and standards in all phases of major system and subsystem development, implementation, and post-implementation processes.
- Analyze, define, and may coordinate the participation of others in the definition of efficient, cost effective application/software solutions which support client business processes and functional requirements.
- Guide, formulate, contribute to, direct, and validate appropriateness and comprehensiveness of task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities.
- Participate and direct as appropriate cross-organizational IT resources in order to identify problems and develop resolutions.
- Coordinate and facilitate the interaction of internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for the successful completion of development and maintenance assignments (e.g., database development, job scheduling, ICCS support, network support, help desk orientation, and client implementation readiness).
- Analyze business processes in order to define application functional requirements and technical specifications.
- Work with Vendors/Contractors to obtain documentation, assistance in installing and utilizing the product, and in resolving problems.
- Provide guidance on or with new technology.
- Provide on-call support and coordinate on-call response efforts as assigned.
Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in systems analysis and application program development.
- CACHE experience is a MUST for this requirement.
- Demonstrated the ability to translate business users needs into working systems that meet those needs and deadlines.
- Knowledge of the following programming languages and concepts: Visual Basic, .Net (VB.Net and C#), and ASP.Net, Relational Database Design, Visual Basic, COM, and Oracle.
- Current working knowledge of PC, LAN, WAN, and Mainframe based business systems.
- Working knowledge of development products.
- Ability to conduct work activities to support project objectives and team, including system analysis, coding, enhancements, testing, program/application/system maintenance and debugging.
- Demonstrated the ability to manage staffing needs (including interviewing and making hiring recommendations), assigns work to meet project objectives, and tracks progress and conducts work quality reviews.
- Strong skills required in critical thinking and analysis, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (e.g., partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.).
- Solution development experience in a diverse range of complex problems, which require creativity and innovation within broadly defined policies and practices.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
